Tsu Shan, is an Optometrist turned Actor/Writer/Producer, passionate about bringing awareness to issues that matter through telling provoking stories.
One of the founders of The Humanity Fund, she was also elected to the Screen Producers Australia (SPA) Council, Inside Film (IF) Magazine’s Rising Talent List 2023 and was included in the inaugural AA122 list – recognising Asian Australians who have had the most impact on Australian culture. Tsu Shan was also awarded the Charlies Grant Residency with Australians in Film (AiF) in 2021.
In 2022, Tsu Shan was selected in the Australian Writers Guild (AWG)/Create NSW’s “First Break”. She has also been selected to be on numerous industry committees, including the Diversity Justice Lens group for screen equity and inclusion and the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS) Alumni Advisory Group.
Tsu Shan produced the romance drama feature, UNSOUND, about deaf culture and pride. It won and was nominated for a raft of key industry awards including ‘Best Indie Film’ at the AACTA awards in 2020 and has obtained distribution in multiple international territories, including Netflx in ANZ and Fuse TV in the US. She produced SUKA, a multi-cultural action drama, supported by ScreenNSW that was broadcast on Ch9 in 2023. Tsu Shan recently completed MY EYES, a heartfelt family drama inspired by true events. It received VICScreen development and post-production support, due to be released in 2024.

Dr. Paul Athanasiov is an Ophthalmologist who founded Eye Surgeons SA in 2014 and went on to expand to 6 sites across South Australia. In his spare time, he designed and built electronic medical records programs and other software systems to improve efficiency.
He then designed, with a team of developers in Adelaide and with input from hundreds of nurses, surgeons and suppliers from around the country, a new cloud-based platform called Sox, connecting practices, hospitals, and suppliers to create and co-ordinate theatre lists, manage inventory, billing, and implant registries. SOx has now gone on to become the future of surgical workflow in Australia.

Starting his career as an orthoptist, Scott has had a career spanning many facets of healthcare business from establishing successful specialist medical practices through to managing multi-disciplinary day hospitals and surgical inpatient hospitals. Scott is also a director of Day Hospitals Australia and has spent the past ten years in private healthcare focused on the growing day hospitals sector, including the establishment of Nexus in 2013. Alex Hunyor
Retinal Specialist
A/Prof Alex Hunyor is a retinal specialist with expertise in vitreoretinal and macular disease. Following his ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, he undertook 3½ years of subspecialty vitreoretinal training in Melbourne and the U.S.
Alex is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and member of the Macular Research Group at the Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials for treatment of retinal diseases. He is the Australian international delegate to the American Society of Retinal Specialists. Alex serves on the Board of Macular Disease Foundation Australia (MDFA) and chairs the MDFA Medical Committee.
He is involved in teaching of local ophthalmic trainees and ophthalmologists as well as participating in education of overseas specialists through the RANZCO International Development Programme and Sight For All. He has received the RANZCO Award for Excellence in Training on 5 occasions. In 2023 he was awarded RANZCO’s highest honour, the College Medal.
Since 2016 Alex has been involved with training the surgeons at Sydney’s Eye Clinic for Animals who have pioneered canine retinal reattachment surgery in Australia. They have now performed over 250 retinal reattachment surgeries.

In 2003, Shaun was employed at Novartis in the ophthalmology division, responsible for managing Visudyne and later Lucentis. In 2007, Shaun co-founded Inservio to support those specialists and patients wanting to access intravitreal medication on the PBS.
Moira McInerney

Moira McInerney is an associate professor at Monash University, where she lectures on financial management in the Master of Health programme. Currently Executive Officer for Ophthalmology New Zealand, Moira has held significant roles, including State Manager in diagnostic imaging, General Manager in cardiology in Australia, and CEO in ophthalmology in New Zealand.
In New Zealand, Moira served as the CEO of Auckland Eye, overseeing the commissioning of Oasis Surgical. She also provides consulting services in healthcare across Australia and New Zealand. Notably, she led a QUT team researching and advising the Ministry of Health in Fiji on Customer Service Standards.
Recently, Moira contributed to the development of the “Finance for Non-Financial Managers” a micro-credential online course for the Australasian College of Health Service Managers (ACHSM). Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, an MBA in Health, graduation from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Certified Health Executive (CHE) status, and Fellowship of the ACHSM.
Moira’s area of research focuses on the increasing investment of private equity in private healthcare, examining its impact on service delivery and patient outcomes.

Thomas has a strong background in aged care and works with members of LGBTIQA+ communities who are aged over fifty across Adelaide, most recently working as a care finder within the national Care Finder Program. He is part of the strong Adelaide LGBTIQA+ network, contributing to advisory groups and liaising with various government programs and services who seek information on our older LGBTIQA+ community members. Thomas also provides training to organisations seeking to provide their staff with a better understanding of our LGBTIQA+ communities and their needs. Thomas has a varied background which includes several years working in health, studying a Bachelor of Nursing whilst working at the Alfred Hospital emergency department in Melbourne.
Dr. Vinh Tran

Dr. Vinh Tran is a dedicated doctor with strong passion for health IT and a wealth of experience across the healthcare landscape. Currently, he collaborates with Robopharma, a European leader in pharmacy automation, where he’s forged an exciting partnership to bring the innovative myOneTouch technology platform to the Asia Pacific region after 11 successful years together.
His journey began at IBM GSA, where he managed enterprise mainframes, whilst studying medicine and continued with IBA Health/iSoft, implementing Patient Administration and Clinical Systems during his GP Registrar training.
With over 17 years of clinical experience working in his own GP practice, Dr. Tran has an interest in Aged Care and Palliative Care, and he proudly co-founded the Australian Vietnamese Aged Care Services, a not for profit charity, which opened the first Vietnamese nursing home in New South Wales in 2018.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Tran has worked for over seven years for the NSW Medical Council as a GP Performance Assessor and Hearing Member, sitting on a wide range of panels and tribunals. He is currently an AHPRA GP Supervisor and Auditor, while also consulting with GPs on navigating Medicare compliance issues.
Residing in Sydney, Dr. Tran holds fond memories of Adelaide, where he spent part of his early childhood at the Pennington Migrant Hostel after his family’s arrival as refugees. His journey continues to inspire his commitment to healthcare innovation and community service.
